Metalwork, steelwork and corrosion protection
Metalwork and steelwork, corrosion protection, installation and dismantling belong together in this service area. For a specific enquiry, we consider the structure, condition, fixings and the work requested.
Corrosion protection is a separate subcategory. Existing coating specifications and project specifications help with coordination. Mechanical installation, electrical work and other specialist connections are explicitly defined within the commission.
The component and its route to the installation position
Installation at height involves more than the installation position itself. Dimensions, weight, transport route and existing fixings also determine preparation. The same applies to dismantling: a detached component must be able to be removed from the work area in a controlled manner.
We discuss the practical trade task and access conditions with you. The lifting equipment, connections and interfaces with other trades required are clarified for the project.
Typical installation tasks
- Installation of advertising signs and banners
- Work on steel and metal structures
- Installation and replacement of glass and façade elements
- Installation of technical components
- Photovoltaic installations within an agreed scope
- Dismantling existing structures
Mechanical installation and further specialist connections must be explicitly defined in the scope of services. Installing a component does not automatically include all subsequent work.
Plans make the enquiry more specific
If possible, send photos, dimensions and weight details. Drawings, manufacturer documentation and information on existing fixings help assess the task.
Also specify delivery arrangements, storage areas, access and preferred time windows. For a replacement, details of both the old and new components are important. This allows outstanding points to be gathered systematically before an appointment.
