Look first, then define the scope
Damage is often only partly visible from the ground. A condition survey can help record the position and visible condition of an area more accurately. It is a useful starting point when repair requirements or accessibility are still unclear.
What is to be examined is described beforehand. A distinction must be made between visual recording, technical inspection and specialist assessment. Not every recording answers the same questions.
Make components and industrial facilities accessible
- Images of façades, roofs and junction details
- Inspection of selected industrial and plant areas
- Access to hard-to-reach components
- Images as a basis for further coordination
- Cooperation with the technical specialists involved
Drone and thermal imaging may additionally be considered for a particular question. Suitability, availability and the desired evaluation are clarified when enquiring.
Agree the question and the result
Describe the decision you want to make after the condition survey. Does it concern a leak, visible façade damage or the scope of planned maintenance? Existing photos and previous reports help define the task.
The desired result, such as labelled photos or a compilation of visible issues, is agreed beforehand. Further inspections and specialist assessments are specified separately.
