Task and existing conditions
Visible spalling or damaged masonry first needs to be assessed in terms of its location and extent. Existing findings help distinguish the practical repair task from further specialist questions. This also includes agreed repairs to chimney heads.
What the service covers
Repairs may concern individual masonry areas, concrete surfaces or a hard-to-reach chimney head. We define the damaged areas and discuss which existing findings are needed for execution. Repairs to the existing structure and further structural or construction questions are expressly distinguished.
Plan access and the workflow together
For the workflow, we combine access to the damaged area with the practical trade task. We discuss the condition and construction of the existing structure, adjoining components and use of the areas below. Material selection, scope of execution and handovers to other trades are agreed for the specific project.
Information that helps with your enquiry
- Location and size of damaged areas
- Existing findings and previous repairs
- Use of and access to the affected component
You can send up to five photos or documents with the enquiry form. The precise scope of work and next steps are agreed in person.
